Arrive
Short transfer to Negombo for a swim and an early night.
Overnight in Negombo - Day 2
Village life
Drive to Sigiriya. Village tour by bullock cart and catamaran, plus a cooking demonstration.
Overnight in Sigiriya - Day 3
Elephant safari
Morning at Sigiriya (children love the lion's paws), then an afternoon jeep safari to see wild elephants at Minneriya or Kaudulla.
Overnight in Sigiriya - Day 4
Kandy
Dambulla cave temples, then Kandy for a lively Kandyan dance show.
Overnight in Kandy - Day 5
Temples and gardens
Temple of the Tooth and the giant trees and fruit bats of Peradeniya gardens.

All aboard!
Take the train into the hills, then visit a tea factory.
Overnight in Nuwara Eliya - Day 7
On to Ella
A short drive to Ella, stopping at waterfalls on the way.

Ella
An easy family walk up Little Adam's Peak and trains at the Nine Arches Bridge.

Baby elephants
Drive to Udawalawe for a jeep safari and feeding time at the Elephant Transit Home.

To the beach
Visit a turtle conservation project on the way to the south coast.

Beach day
Swimming, sandcastles and snorkelling.

Galle Fort
Explore Galle Fort, then an ice cream on the ramparts.

Farewell
Transfer to the airport.
